Build Check are working closely with Pilkington with regards to Pilkington energiKare, carrying out BFRC simulations.  As a result, Pilkington have invited Build Check on to their Glassex stand on the 8th to 10th of April to answer your questions about energiKare, BFRC U-value simulations and IA services.

David Mckenna, Managing Director of Build Check will be presenting a seminar at Ecobuild on 27th February at Earls Court. The seminar titled “Airtightness testing, a mandatory requirement – how to ensure a pass” starts at 12:00 noon – see Ecobuild website for further details.

Build Check entered the Gravity Grand Prix 2007 with their custom built Go-Kart. The design of the “Build Check Bullet” was based loosely around a Suzuki GSXR 1100 motorcycle frame with the components of 2 child’s bicycles. Due to the suspect design of the steering mechanism, Richard in full racing leathers and helmet could only come in at 8th. place – that said he was lucky to survive at all! Over £200 was raised in aid of the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance for which we would like to thank all of our Sponsors.

During Glassex 2007, Richard Bate presented a seminar titled “Energy ratings & CE marking: Product design considerations and minimum UK requirements”.  This was particularly well received with a “full house” attending – indicating the high level of interest there is within the fenestration industry with respect to Energy ratings and CE markings.
